You're comparing apples and oranges but for argument's sake, let's compare the number of TCs and Rhodes that are handed out. Multiple Rhodes in a year is unheard of - many NLUs have a couple of TCs every year.

There's your answer.

Rhodes . A few people get the TC every year from top colleges. Rhodes is not that predictable. It’s not enough to have brand name university you have to go beyond that.
