Example:There is a policy followed by Wikipedia called "deadnaming", which says that you can never mention the original name of a person who has had a sex change procedure and changed his/her name. They don't follow this policy for Caitlyn Jenner, who is a Republican, but they follow it for Rachel Levine lmao...Proves that the ▮▮▮ of Wikipedia are hypocrites. Inciting a stampede, medical or legal malpractice, false advertising, media targeted to children etc. are reasonable restrictions on such speech. Also note how none of these grounds restrict politically meaningful speech, so crucial to in democracy.
However hate speech, sedition, contempt of court, defamation and so on are simply tools of the socially or politically powerful to create thoughtcrimes and speechcrimes and create a chilling effect on politically significant speech. Sedition and contempt of courts protects powerful institutions, defamation protects powerful individuals and hate speech protects or creates powerful group indentities that all must kow tow to and dare not deride, chide or disrespect.
In the words of Scanlon, "the harm of coming to false beliefs is not one that the autonomous man could allow the State to protect him through restrictions on expression".
The more you oppress people with these illogical made up rules - more you will have alt-right retaliation across the world. And the people in the middle will silently side with them too. The trans agenda has been shoved down the throats of people and the public do not agree. Democracy is not a flower bed progressive heaven - the people have a say. What they have to say may not exactly be what the trans activists want to hear.
