In terms of budget, I'd say 30-40% of a T1 A0 salary would go into living expenses (rent + bills + food) in such areas. Most places in BLR ask for a really long security deposit (6-12 months) so you'll have to figure out that expense.
Cost of living in blr is very manageable
The value of living near the Metro in Bangalore is huge, and your commutes will be smooth and stress free.
You can also look at Frazer Town, Cox Town, Cooke Town, Benson Town, Jayanagar which are slightly farther away but will have newer apartments in better shape and more reasonable rents.
Where should I look for accommodation? What is current market rate of rent and security deposit like? How should I budget for cost of living?
Thanks in advance!
