All I can see in the media is reports of the UK pushing India for stronger IPR protection and reduction of duty of Scotch Whisky. Nothing about law firms. How come?
Law firms aren't that significant in the bigger picture.
Maybe the issue of UK Law firms getting accesss to Indian legal markets isn't as important as you think it might be.
Uk firms are not interested in this economy. The rates Indians pay them are abysmally low. They are keen on Singapore and UAE where clients pay big rates.
Indians legal market size is barely $1.9 bn. Just check market cap of any of Sensex companies.
