No, it gives people who watched Game of Thrones a starting advantage. People who have not watched the show already are at a disadvantage because they cannot understand references from the show so make it French only.
Owing to the recent controversies revolving around the imposition of Hindi over the country, English has been proposed as a neutral alternative. This has opened the proposal to attack as being entangled in the intellectual shackles of the coloniser.
I propose we should just select French as the national language and be done with it. Would be fair as everybody would start from scratch; well, except for some people in Puducherry. It is also a fairly international language and enables access to even more international markets combined with the existing English competence.
