- Both sides stop the war and withdraw their soldiers
- Parts of Ukraine annexed by Russia are accepted as part of Russia, i.e. Ukraine give up territory
- Ukraine is allowed to join NATO
- All sanctions against Russia are removed
the UK, EU and the US should just let ukraine negotiate, there would have been peace back in April itself
Because if you don't manage to achieve either of those aims, Putin will be be backed into a corner that could be quite uncomfortable for a lot of people concerned.
I.e., do we really want to emulate the US' strategy in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya, which has not worked out very well for most people concerned (and those were countries without nukes).
