I heard few of my classmates gossiping about the lapses on the Day zero. This was a few months ago. I got introduced with this platform as few posts were trending about our college recently.

To give some background, I am a batch of 2025 nuji coming from a not so financially well family, I am not good at socialising and therefore dont have a good social capital.

Can seniors please provide some transparency as to what happened on that particular day and what transpired later on? Like about the Ombudsman thing? About RPC-25 grievance forms? Did this fiasco actually happened? I think seniors owe us some explanation as placements are not just about one batch. I went through some rules and turns out CRC is the one that governs all other RPCs (including mine). If that's the case then CRC should be answerable to all the batches [...].

From what I know, the CRC sent incomplete applications for some candidates, mentioning wrong ranks and forwarding half CVs.

While the above can be blamed on the sheer incompetence, but what is worrying is ▮▮▮ Due to which many of low ranked individuals got jobs, leaving behind some upper ranked people. This led to a batch meet, when the coordinator was asked to resign.

Now that's already done, what can we do in the years to come. Don't let this boys group rule our college. ▮▮▮ Now that we have witnessed what all happened in DayZ, it would be better to elect better people.

Nothing of the above-said is a lie. I myself am from the batch of 2023 and have faced such mis-handling on such important day. Complete CVs were not sent, the recruiters were informed about wrong preferences of the candidates, students were not informed about some of the offers they had received and about where they were in the shortlisted list. ▮▮▮. A warning to BO'24, please ensure that there is diversity in your CRC. If this RPC becomes the CRC god save your careers (▮▮▮). This is scary that the future of so many students can be reduced to joke by their classmates only. The so called '▮▮▮ ▮▮▮ boys' should realize that they DO NOT own this college or the future of the students of this college.

This is clearly beyond trolling. It is as malicious as it gets and is an indicator of what this platform has sunk to. If the alleged 'mishandling and fiasco' could lead to a record number of placements on day zero and PPOs, then it should happen every year. Every single recruiter had praised the CRC after the event, even those whose offers were not accepted by many students. It is sickening to see how some people will stop at nothing to suit their own selfish ends. ▮▮▮

Okay, some recruiter may have praised the CRC, sure. Let's assume what you said it true.

Friend, what about the firm that threw the file of applications on the floor when there was ruckus around some word play? What about the firm that took offence because the CRC suggested them a policy and then members of the CRC only backed out after getting offers, so they got pissed enough to not offer more jobs and crushed the waitlist? What about some people getting to sit for interviews even though when they were not called for the same but because certain CRC members pushed for them? While this one is really good, why was this only done for the 2-3 people closely connected to the gang? Lol. If everything had been done in a fair and transparent manner, an entire batch meet over the recruitment scene, followed by the resignation from the coordinator wouldn't have followed.

Also, I was personally involved in the recruitment process, I have seen what fuckups this CRC did.

This thread is for the college, and not a selfish excercise. Even a lay man would feel this by a simple reading. It is the gang that does not have answers, that's portraying these threads to be malicious.

On a more important note though, dear juniors from 2024, please do not let this groupism prevail over your CRC.

Firms throw tantrums during every Day Zero. What matters is how they leave. I was also involved in the process and I have seen the firms leave after praising the CRC for their efforts. In fact, alumni involved also confirmed that later. Every process has the occasional goof up. Green students make mistakes, especially those who never got to see Day Z for over 2 years because of the pandemic. The fact that a record Day Z took place itself is enough to debunk all your allegations and impact thereof. You want to ask juniors to be careful in electing CRC members, do so internally. Stop doing this shameful thing anonymously in a forum like this to demean people who have actually worked hard.

The fact that you cannot tell the juniors this directly instead of using this channel speaks volumes of your relationship with them. Generally, not about you in particular. That's the real reason behind all this strife. Breakdown in inter-batch and inter-batch relationships. Prevents students from putting up united front and doing the good work responsibly like NUJS students have always done.

aww look at you getting all defensive and not even understanding that it does not matter what the firms has to say, the students are equally important and need to be heard, anyone who is not your friend, does not like the CRC and holds it of very less value. It did happen. Lot of mishandling, last moment "adjustments", and backstage corruption. Any information beyond this requires the people to be named which LI will remove, general info is as follows

1. CRC informs that for a particular firm if a person sits for the interview and an offer from that particular firm is made it can't be rejected. Rejection of offer by one person, firm does not hire anybody. Pretty ridiculous ik, but we have zero bargaining power. influential CRC member rejects offer after sitting for the interview. Firm did not hire anybody. It was a tier 1

2. A person from b/o 24 is allowed to be in interview rooms for god knows what.

These are the confirmed ones. God knows what went around unnoticed. PLEASE ELECT YOUR CRC RESPONSIBLY. Even if it appears childish lookout for closely knit groups and ensure that PEOPLE FROM THE SAME FRIEND GROUP ARE NOT ELECTED.

It's absolutely true.
Outright blatant malicious conduct by the CRC members, instances of NOT LETTING BATCH-MATES EDIT THEIR CV and NOT INFORMING PEOPLE OF ALL THE OFFERS THEY GOT.

Meanwhile, letting their buddies sit in on other's interviews, CRC members tell people phones are not allowed in the ground discussion while being the first ones to whip out their phones when it actually starts.

They've made a mockery out of the recruitment process. A T1 firm came and left with 0 people, not due to a lack of offers, but mismanagement by the CRC.

Resignations have no meaning and no effect after you've done your deed.

Question! Why is it the same gang everywhere?

The same group of people harassing wardens and residents of the Boys Hostel as well as girls hostel with loud music throughout the night; doing administration journalism instead of pushing them to their limits and getting work done; endorsing discriminatory treatment of societies (MCS supremacy); Placements fiasco, maybe a lot more to come.

can I give you some insider tip?
CRC coordinators have access to the RPC election data and they shared the election data to their junior besties of 4th year (we all know who). They are the coordinators of the 4th year RPC and of the them has taken a vow to befriend all those people (of 2024 batch) who didn’t vote for their gang. Apparently they still hate some of us because we are part of 'elite' and close to what they say '▮▮▮ gang'.

I am saying this as a part of the Day 0 committee.

1) The committee was constituted in a grossly unprofessional manner. There were so-called 'volunteers' who were a part of the committee. They were not elected members of the RPC neither were they appointed through a formal application procedure. They were literally friends of the 'boys gang' which means if you are not part of RPC or are friends with 'boys gang', it was unlikely that you would be part of the Day 0 committee.

2) Work allocation was done in a partial manner giving all the supervisory work to members of 'boys gang' and members from non-boys gang were given labour work.

3) The afterparty was done in the CRC room (customary) but only selected few were invited.

That didn't prevent students who actually wanted to work from working on that day and making themselves useful. There are volunteers during every Day Zero. It's called volunteering, which means people volunteer to make themselves useful. You could have done the same were you actually interested to do the work and not merely pass judgement. The fact that you childishly differentiate between supervisory work and labour work goes to show that you don't have the slightest idea about the process and it's better that you refrain from giving gyan to those who actually do have such idea. You seem toxic to the core, and only interested in the 'afterparty'.

How did anyone ruin the placement scene when 2022 Day Zero saw the highest number of jobs including PPOs in the history of the university? These are all lies. Around 10 students didn't get placed in a top firm after Day Zero out of the 90-odd people who participated in the placement process. Of them, most didn't have a single law firm internship before then, nor decent CGPA. Even several from them have since been placed. I'd have named them and proven these lies, but I don't wish to name individuals on anon public platforms.
@Moderator: These are all lies and insinuations being peddled in the name of free speech. It is quite possible that a handful of individuals are doing this from multiple or same IP. If you can't term these contested, then I demand the accusers to put up some stats and state exactly how the placement scene has been 'ruined'.

How can you attribute PPO statistics to the CRC?? That's literally due to the hard work that the students put in, CRC wasn't involved in that process at all. The actual Day Z statistics were low in comparison to previous years, and there are more than 10 people without a job right now. CRC even screwed up Day 1, which led to even more of those students not getting jobs.

Please stop spreading lies on LegallyIndia. If this "boys group" didn't have so much social capital, several people would've spoken up on GB mail threads instead of here. But people don't have a choice.

The RPC was supposed to be a neutral body which ensures placements. ▮▮▮ All power in college is now in the hands of a few students who managed to 'make friends' with a particular someone. The ▮▮▮ gang is infamous for threatening other men in the hostel to leave their rooms, blaring music is the least bad thing they do. I dont understand why no one says anything to them, why is it alright for everyonne to make threads on legally india but not confront and stand united against these undeserving people when we are in college, if we hold them accountable they will be forced to resign

The RPC 2024 is more than competent on its own, the faults of the CRC need not be transferred over to the lower batches without any basis. Over the past year or so, the RPC 2024 has been responsible for coordinating for over 100+ OIP internships for the batch out of which 80+ were offered by Tier 1 law firms. If you count non-OIP internships as well, the number is well beyond 150+. The RPC 2024 has worked their tails off and would continue to do so irrespective of the useless chattering that the elite gang of the batches of 2023 and 2024 wants to make on LI.

The baseless claims against RPC 2024 is unwarranted and malicious. These have consistently been the hardest working members of the batch. The Day Zero for 2023 Batch wouldn't have been possible without the efforts of the so called 'boys gang' members of the RPC 2024, along with their non-RPC batchmates and few really hardworking members of the Batch of 2025. These are the people who slept only 1-2 hrs on days leading up to the Day Zero, getting the CVs of their beloved seniors printed, getting the rooms ready for interview, preparing binders for each firm and what not. And now these very people conveniently ignore the efforts of their juniors, and choose to slander them under the anonymity of LI.

Remember, these elites are the very people who were chilling in their rooms making Instagram reels, ▮▮▮ None of these crybabies had the guts to step up and take responsibility when the time was right. When accountability at the highest level was demanded, these mices chose to hide in their comfortable blankets, waking up to visit their cute cafes that they could afford with their khandaani daulat.

Dear seniors of the elite gang, please go touch some grass and have a life instead of venting out the frustration of your CRC over to the junior batches. One of your own has been appointed as an Ombudsman and we have all seen what a miserable failure that has turned out to be. Take this time to do some self-reflection instead of pointing fingers on people who have helped your cause and are 100x more competent than your entire lot combined.

Out of the 80+ tier 1 internships the RPC 24 handled over 30 didn’t get their preferred locations and were threatened with blacklisting if they’d request HR change them. The RPC rules were changed to allow a group of 5 friends to hold meetings in the boys hostel because they made quorum. Rules were ▮▮▮ so this group can control blacklisting and threaten people. ▮▮▮ Some people are going to be more privileged than you - that’s life get over it. ▮▮▮ withdrew from Saraf because ▮▮▮ knew SAM Applications were coming next week. ▮▮▮ using insider information. PPO timelines haven’t been made clear. NLUJ/NLSIU/NALSAR are having practice PPO interviews and webinars from seniors to reduce misinformation. THe RPC is doing nothing. They’ve also not offered non firm internships. All RPC post holders also hold posts in the SJA and Credit Course cell leading to a concentration of power coupled with manipulation. They don’t have time to properly discharge RPC duties. There’s only one female member and ▮▮▮. They don’t have the time to address queries and provide proper guidance or information. They know things like which firms have what vacancies in what teams but they’re not telling people. ▮▮▮. So they’re engaging in power play. There were multiple fuck ups internship wise this year. Let’s not forget about the AUGUST incident.

Let's not forget ▮▮▮ backing out of SAM Delhi for his SAM Bombay callback and not being threatened with blacklisting while others were for wanting to change locations they never even chose in their preference forms. RPC'24 doesn't apply rules equally to everybody. That is evident. They are certainly not a neutral body.

The record Day Z didn't happen because of the CRC, it happened DESPITE the CRC. The reason we had "record numbers" is because of the work that the Day Z POCs and volunteers put in. Only 2/9 members of CRC were part of that. The only good feedback was from firms that non-CRC POCs handled.
