Why this blind lionising of the west.
We should be asking who is the Manu or Chanakya of Indian academia.
Because India doesn't have lions? I don't know of any Indian law professor I can use as benchmark, but there are plenty in the west.
have you heard of names like RP Anand and BS Chimni? any idea about what is their global standing?

Have redacted all names who are not academics but were cited as 'influencers'. If you're looking for Harts and Dworkins and are citing influencers, than that appears to be an attempt to alternately troll them or publicise them.
Er... Hart was an influencer decades before the term was even used by TikTok kids.
Kya faltu sawal h.. Everyone knows todays Professors are not original thinkers
Just like today's lawyers are bootlickers? What kind of generalisation is this?
Even these people you name will slap you for naming them as Dowrkins of today
Are you serious about Gautam Bhatia? Oxford is great but he is nowhere near hart or dowrkin. Tarunabh or Sudhir also I don't think can ever match....can we have names from outside India, I feel India will take decades to produce dworkin or hart, if at all . .
Perhaps the question might be rephrased: Have there been (m)any Dworkin or Hart's since Dworkin or Hart, anywhere in the world? They are, after all, Dworkin and Hart. :)
The only legit ones on this list are Upendra Baxi, Chimni, late RP Anand, and maybe, just maybe Tarunabh Khaitan.

I would describe Indira Jaising, Lawrence Liang and Rohin Bhat more as activists than jurists/thinkers.
Can anyone mention Baxi' s 5 articles published in top law journals.
