Not at all worth it. I shifted to my small tier 3 hometown and doing WFH since. Never been more happier as when I spend 1,500 on meals, I feel like a king here. In Bombay, I would feel shit even after spending 4,000 on a meal.
You're correct in your observation. I am absolutely done with Bombay too. But problem is, all Indian metros are like this. One having problems worse than the last one.
You live close to Elgin Road? I assume you mean South Club. Asking so we can play the next time I’m there! :-)
Just move to NCR. Far better lifestyle as long as you are not fussed about safety or just carry a gun with you at all times.
LOL. Also, learn to say MC/BC in very second sentence and tell the womenfolk in your family to dress like men in order to be safe.
While Bombay is safer for women than NCR, abusing in Bombay is very common. Replace the MC/BC with zhaavadya / bhadavya, and other Marathi bad words. Abusing is common all over India, with the possible exception of hill stations, like Nainital and other places in Uttarakhand.
Bombay is absolutely worth it if you want to gain good work e experience. However, of you're looking for a laid back lifestyle, Bombay is not for you.
If you’re happy with your team and very sure that you want to continue in a law firm, I’d say from personal experience that stick around. At least you’re comfortable there. Not v easy to get good teams in law firms particularly
