Datar's name is there because he's one of the best, who does lot of tax. Does Salve or Rohatgi do tax, yes of course. But a miniscule part of their practice is tax. OP wants tax focused lawyer, which others aren't. In SC, you still have guys like S Ganesh but he doesn't do much tax. Zohaib hasn't done much IDT. Same as the others in Mumbai bar like Percy etc. Bharat R in Bombay is still upcoming guy. Tarun Gulati in Delhi is still more of HC guy. Similarly, can give comments for many. But these are guys to look for.
