Some audacity you have to bring GNLU into this. NLUJ people have genuine struggle for the 70% attendance meanwhile in GNLU there is practically no attendance criteria and still the students keep whining.
The fact that they aren't is evidence of the fact that the problems that they actually face are being blown out of proportion on this anon forum. Had those been serious enough, then people would have protested, simple.
moderation hoti hai ya nahi idhar? sirf the comments that go against ur ideology are censored R? or Kian or whoever? (don't censor this please, right to free speech for gods sake)
To all NLUJ people, PPS' term is ending in this year. Start planning for focused campaign to bring people like Nigam, Pritam or Prabhash as your next VC instead of one of the coterie of old-timers. That's the only way to transform an institution. Subject it to shock and change. In the short term, there will be problems including those resulting from high standard imposition and debunking status quo, but in the long term, the university will benefit. Case in point, Sudhir and NLSIU.
NLUJ seems to be the only NLU where there is no provision for students to get attendance exemption if they are physically unwell and miss classes as a result. Yet the students do not protest against such high handedness. Truly a place full of chicken.
It is not as if the students have ever had a problem with faculties not teaching at NLUJ, otherwise they would have launched a protest against that in the last 15 years. They are happy getting the grades without the education.
NLU admins are so insensitive that they don't care unless students literally just die and lie as corpses. They think everyone fakes illnesses to avoid exams.
It saddens me to share with you the dire state of affairs in NLUJ's hallowed Halls of Residence.
Except for two, who can be named, the faculty has been excessively insensitive, inconsiderate and ignorant towards those who have been infected by the pox. The students who are down are not being provided any sort of medical aid, other than separation in the university's namesake medical center with no emergency facilities. These students are not being provided with basic amenities which a person might require in such times, such as food and warm water. Rather, they only have access to unpurified water, the quality of which has been reported multiple times in the past. Further, due to a lack of manpower at the medical center, batchmates have to fetch food and deliver it to the sick students at their bedside, while exposing themselves to the pox. The worst part is that there is also no provision for a sick leave in the university's bye-laws, i.e., the students who are missing classes due to the sickness can be debarred (read: made to repeat a year), in case their final attendance fails to fulfil the 70% mark. Despite having witnessed 10+ cases already, the admin is still reluctant on isolating those who have been exposed to the virus, despite showing grave symptoms, and forcing them to attend classes, and thereby putting the entire campus at a risk. Today, some students with the pox visible on their faces, were forced to go to the academic block and attend lectures, to merely beg for attendance in such miserable conditions, just to avoid getting debarred.
Dear Admin, September has already ended, my friend. It's time to wake to the plight of your students.
What'ss soo wrong with the NLU admin? After the [...] GNLU Registrar had blocked efforts to start voluntary Covid testing on campus, even after many students complaining and literally begging for themselves to get tested so that they don't spread the infection any further. Even the gnlu doctor had strictly advised the Registrar to start it asap. Now the NLUJ admin is also following in the footsteps of the [...] GNLU admin.
Online classes aren't going to happen any more. If you have a problem with the hygienic conditions within the campus, either launch a protest to change that or drop out.
The admin doesnβt care at all. Chickenpox is spreading rapidly and even a few faculty were infected. Thereβs a 0% possibility that the exams would be online. Wonβt be surprised if they debar a few infected students just because they were sick and couldnβt make it to classes.
True that, the situation is quite dire and coupled with how unhygienic hostels are i fore see more and more people going down with these diseases. Atleast online classes should be undertaken for the last 2 weeks so that everyone is spared of this torture. Are you listening admin??????
Why on earth is the admin not taking it seriously, students are having to come to class to ask for attendance because teachers wouldn't cut them some slack online end seems should be on the cards because you just cant prepare for exams while suffering from CP.
Oh wait..
What the fuck is wrong with the students?!
Why aren't you fucking standing up against this bs?
Time for a closure?
NLUJ needs you

All she cares about is the grass worth 80 Lakhs.
I've literally seen possibly infected people roam around freely on campus.
