Always call the senior counsels junior, and breif/talk with them. Make sure the same person attends every single session.
Be thorough with the file. Know where is what document, and what your case is. Be ready as if you have to argue the matter yourself - in the sense that be ready to answer any question that falls from the senior.
Always prepare a date chart and summary of arguments / case note. It might seem tedious but it really reduces your work as a briefing counsel. Additionally, whoever is the Senior's associate/junior does not have to read through the entire file at the last moment to assist their Senior after the conference / briefing.
