But at SAMco, HR is busy doing everything else under the sun other than processing bonuses and increments. All while teams are making people work like there's no tomorrow.
Even those of us who generally like our teams and work at SAMco are frustrated by these dilatory tactics. The increments better be good this time else people are going to leave (I know quite a few who have left from the Mumbai office already on account of better pay at other firms and have also heard similar things about the Delhi office).
Until increments come in β the firmβs ensured talent canβt leave (atleast without taking a hit re bargaining power at their next job) since their playslip wonβt accurately reflect their timeβs worth.
SS gang thinking theyβve pulled a fast one while ignoring the effect it has on team morale / talent retention in the long run.
Make new rules! Iβll tell you a better retention strategy - treat us better! Pay us on time! Else lose out on us when we go to London!
Such fekus these guys are at SAM. Lots of hot air they give about mental health, wellness initiatives and being a great place to work and all that but ye sab thoda kha sakte hai!
As for me, I'll follow in the footsteps of some of my team mates who have jumped ship to greater pastures. If a firm can't be fucked to pay the money that I've earned (it's not like they are giving anything for free - even tissues in the office they can't give, chindi fellows) and thinks it's okay to delay things like promotion and hike properly then it's not worth it.
And I encourage others to quit. Right now the market is dying for talent and if your cv is good you have good leverage to get a bump when you lateral out. Really not worth all this.
