Who will appoint VC whether it is students or selection board
Kyun? "He'll burn the place to the ground?"

iykyk
At NUJS, the students had invited the politicians in and triggered the takeover. Go cry somewhere else.
The idea that the VCs apply based on NIRF ranks of the universities is so ridiculous that it is laughable. By that logic, Faizan should apply for Symbiosis Pune.

Ghanta meritocracy! They are trying to retain status quo because they know that Faizan would never discipline them for any of their actions or atrocities.
In other words, the students are arguing in favour of meritocracy instead of affirmative action and populism in the selection of the VC: β€œBest man or woman for the job”. In fact, we need this policy in every sphere of life. Leftist identity politics needs to end.
This problem would not have happened if all NLUs united and went to the SC saying that they are national institutions. Instead, Sudhir went at it alone and claimed that only NLSIU is national, rest are state. Anyway, there is still time.
NLUD is ranked above NALSAR in NIRF and at the very least they are in the same tier. Yet Rao is applying. Just shows regionalism at play.

Need to move on. Representations, howsoever well drafted aren't going to bring FM back.
Hats off to the students and best of luck. At NUJS we could not prevent a political takeover due to student disunity and internal student politics. But I am sure NALSAR students will succeed.
Even for SidChau, what has the university really done to retain him? He hasn't even been given time to finish his PhD in all these years. That's little more than exploitation.
Everybody including people studying elsewhere knows what NALSARites can get up to. They have been banned from multiple student fests before.
[...] and [...]. To be fair to the latter, he isn't doing it in any under-handed fashion but quite openly. One may not agree with his reasons, but the guy is not afraid of making his position and passion known.
The assumption is so misplaced, almost misguided. Someone 'instigating' two thirds of the student body of a law school? Doesn't really happen tbh.
These are students with functioning brains. I don't think anyone needs to instigate grown ups this way, especially 582 of them.
This is more likely to harm Faizan's chances. CJ won't take it kindly to be told by undergrad students what to do. In addition, non-consideration of domicile as primary criterion and re-selecting Faizan have got no connection.
This is true. A new representation has gone out to the CJ. Expecting the letter to be made public soon.
