They've recently expanded their practice as well as their office and seem to be on a hiring spree

The work culture is amazing. It's a top heavy firm - meaning, there are relatively more SA, PA and Partners as compared to associates, and therefore there's not much recruitment at associate level. At A0 level, recruitment is only via PPOs.
