Experienced people please show the path. How to learn about corporate world. I was not taught such subjects in law school. How do I join someone decent which helps to living expenses in metros?

1. Branches/Team inside law firm :- I know broadly there is General Corporate , M/A , Arbitration , Competition Law, Corporate Advisory , Private Equity , Project , B /F , Real Estate . But like you said , I really don't know what is meaning of 'transactional law'. I don't know what kind of work is done in Banking & finance , or Equity. Please shed some light
2. What do I need to read to master the theory part. Please name textbooks to master them. I will make sure I become a master of those laws (yeah Company law is very very bulky). It was a waste to memorize dates of battles
if you are working in law firm will they take me after few years or immediately ? I am fine working with 70% lesser salary . Can you recommend ?
Work in these places for a few years, then either join a smaller firm (think Tuli & Co.) or join a Senior Advocate's chamber. Become really good at what you do. Spend a year or two there.
Next, look at LinkedIn. Transaction law always has multiple vacancies in tier 1 firms throughout the year. You'll have to be lucky and be at the right place at the right time but if you've worked at a known entity or with a known Senior, you have a decent shot at getting picked for an interview.
You're now in a tier 1 firm. Good luck!
