I passed from a tier 2 college, got a good placement at a tier 2 firm. after working 6 months - transitioned into tier 1 firm, making decent dough (>15L). work life balance is also good, get weekends, dont work more than 9 hours day. not very happy - want to shake things up. Thinking of pursuing MBA, is there anyone who recommends/ doesn't recommend it? If yes - which colleges as top 5 and whether foreign MBA is worth the $$$
Don't ever think of MBA after law. Stick with law. If at all you want a change, join a legal clinic and work towards making this world a better place. There are many under privileged people who need your legal help.
Money should never be anyones concern. One can live a very satisfied life in less money.
Kian stop normalizing Hindi. Hindi is language of [...] BIMARU states. Progressed states speak their regional language. The North BIMARU states have failed. Then they travel South and try to impose Hindi on us. Hindi has nothing to do with India Hindi has nothing to do with Hindutva India is a Union of States Each state has its own language. Stop harassing us with [...] hindi.
Ok. Let the North Indian states then also not act as a line of defense for the South Indian states from invaders the way it has been doing since millenia - which led to the prosperity of South India.
Btw, how / who has actually imposed Hindi on you? Aren't you falling into the classic trap of the politicians? Create the image of an enemy which does not exist and then mobilise the public against it?
A major chunk of tax that new India earns goes to UP and Bihar. Why are these states not developing? When will they come out of caste and religion politics? Why is UP and Bihar keeping the country backward? If UP and Bihari people are so great then why don't they develop their own states? Why are they burdening the rest of India with their migration and population? If they take local persons jobs then where will local people go? North Indians migrate to South and never speak South Indian languages but try to impose their language. Develop UP and Bihar. Make India happy. Jai Hind
First - what's the the name of this firm my dude?! Sounds like a dream my dude !
Second - depends on what your reasons are (apart from the "i want to shake things up"). Also getting into a top MBA Uni is a lot tougher than doing an LLM so start studying for the GMAT or CAT early on.
Next time make your reasons clear when asking question on LI otherwise you'll get trolled by the lot of the commenters. I'm myself considering to do an MBA but after years of working at a T1 firm - where my work life balance has been horrible - and after gaining considerable work ex. (most of my work ex can be considered transferable - which i need to be able to explain in my applications). Also, it took me some time to study of the GMAT. It was tough and humbled the hell out of me.
Be nice!

You can also consider civil services.
