Make fun of Jindal students all you want, but in 20 years, the sons and daughters of judges, senior advocates and politicians will become judges, senior advocates and politicians, while Harvard of the east grads will still be getting whipped like mules by Cyril and Zia for not doing paper pushing properly.

See, if you get a decent amount of Scholarship like 30 to 50 % then JGLS is great even if it is somewhat more expensive in the long run, because if you keep your grades in Top 3 to 5 percentile of the Batch which is Top 30-40 students , you are almost guaranteed a placement at a Tier 1 from Zero Day. Like last zero day few tier ones offered jobs to all the shortlisted candidates , and the shortlisting was done based on GPA mostly. So, if you are ready to work for 4 years and be consistent and be amongst the the toppers at JGLS you are sure shot guaranteed at T1 job. Other than that, the faculty and exposure is also much greater , also if Academia and LLM is something that you care about again JGLS has great tie-ups with foreign Law schools, few students from JGLS itself have gotten a job as lecturers in JGLS itself directly after completing these tie up LLM's and in terms of career in academia nothing beats teaching at Jindal be it salary or opportunities for the Prof as well. Finally, few cons for JGLS are the sheer number students that they enroll and this has increased even more every year by introducing courses like B Com LLB , so the competition is really high but again half of the students actually do not study or are much bothered. Sonipat as a location is a con, Pune would be a much better place to have a fun college life I assume but the campus is much better of JGLS you would have all the top-class facilities. Ultimately, in my opinion without the Scholarship if you are you going to take a loan to come to JGLS then I would suggest don't, SLS Pune has enough alumni base and good student quality that it's not worth it to go to Jindal. (Ps If you come from a well-to-do family and money isn't much of an issue then overall you should go for JGLS even if you don't get a scholarship, it has consistently provided better placements in absolute numbers (not percentage) and has a much better faculty)
