So I just ended my first internship at a big firm two days back. One thing I noticed is that I didn't really create that good a relation with my reporting associates and partner (not a bad relation, but not a close one either). I interacted only when it was related to work or when they were giving me work. For more than half a month, I did not even see the entire team together in the office, as the partner herself wasn't coming.
Another thing I noticed was that the team itself wasn't to social (not just with the other people in the office, but among themselves either). The 3 associates didn't really talk to each other a lot outside work related convos. So was I too passive with my internship and interaction with the team or would I just come across as a professional not wanting to engage a lot, since they themselves didn't really engage a lot either (not just with me but with others as well).
