Lack of transparency is leading to a lot of anxiety for the associates.

Hoping RKL can stop this irreparable damage to the firm, that he claims he built single handedly.

When mohit left there was so much toxic social media posts watering down his role, saying oh he was just another partner and not the founder. Now one year past its clear to see who really has ability to build firms.

The two senior partners are leaving with 12 partners. Each of those 12 Partners haven’t been able to find a job elsewhere. None of them can build or execute work. Wonder if the 2 senior partners would take such a heavy cost on their heads for people who can be brilliant yes men but not build or deliver

Supposing what you say was true, how does that make up for people leaving for elsewhere for good, because of this mess? At least 2 partners with established books didn't commit to either side and likely moving elsewhere. Other retainers leaving for other places in addition to the ones moving with said 2 partners.

The need for narrative control felt by some is understandable, however, let's at least be water tight in the false narrative that is built up. Zero sense is prevailing on the part of some. What does RKL think he achieved by posting that sad gun man there, randomly, once all this began? Anything real other than offending all the counsels who have given years to the Firm and kept on believing the shit would subside sometime surely? What about checking personal bags under the guise of ensuring documents aren't taken in an unauthorised manner?

People have had enough. Only some staying back. Yes, some of these are good lawyers and good people. However, it's only people that see this mass exit as an event that has made space for them, that are staying back. People who have had enough drama and just want to work in peace (read no constant MP leadership crisis) are leaving now, either with the group or elsewhere.

Projects has emptied out too barring Avirup. Tax has basically emptied out. IPR has only a partner designate. People getting payouts of 1k and 2k as variable compensation on the corp side because their partners just don't have work to bring in. Wake up. Smell the coffee. L&L is dead. MS leaving put it on the ventilator. These people leaving will pull the plug on said ventilator. The body will flail for a little while longer as it resists, protests and tries to stay alive. However, it's fate is sealed.

Okay, let's take stock of how many partners remain across affected practice areas since there is clarity now -

1. Litigation and dispute resolution - 9/24 (Apparently at least one of said 9 may also be going independent/ elsewhere but let's give benefit of doubt)

2. Competition law - 1/5 (3 to DSK, 1 to elsewhere)

3. Trade law - 0/2

4. IPR - 0/1

Also, Hyderabad office shut? Both partners are moving to DSK.

Wow. That's multiple practice areas - litigation, arbitration, labour and employment, competition law, IBC, and trade law. All used to report to HSC and counted within litigation firm for revenue purposes.

If this is true, then not much is left of full service tag of LNL. Very sorry to see this.

There seems to be something more than what meets the eye. With Saraf and Late Mr. Sondhi's heirs trying to have the pie, this move practically blocks any substantial relief being granted to either of them. People who have left can come back later. Something is fishy. Maybe it is just my roots.

If nishant and avirup had done any diligence at all, they would not have joined. The place has been in decline since 2016. Most good partners started leaving in 2014 onwards. Nothing was left post MS split.

Really one conversation with MP is enough to show amount of bragging and showman ship and very less substance or vision or ability to implement. So they walked into this.

All set to bounce back. The Litigation practice will flourish very soon and we will be T1 again.

Did L&L & Partners again re-brand itself as Luthra & Luthra Law Offices? I can see that they have changed the logo and name on Linkedin. This firm has become such a joke in the legal industry. It used to be a Tier 1 law firm and had market leading practices and now it is worse than a Tier 2 law firm.
