There is a saying in Hindi: "A fair skin hides a thousand faults". It is used in the context of marriage of girls, but it applies in the case of law firm employees too.
EXACTLY!! the question was about skin-colour based discrimination and they found a way to make it about women somehow. Itni misogyny kaha se aati hai? :/
Usne question kya pucha hai aur tumne answer kya diya hai. No wonder your texts get seenzoned
It is an age-old bias dating back to the days of the Aryan invasion. In fact, the entire caste system is originally based on skin colour.
This perpetuates discrimination against women - the same old crap that they ain’t hired for merit. Stop it!
I'm curious how much complexion discrimination in India is basically caste discrimination. 'Higher' castes generally have fairer skin throughout India. Even in the stereotypically darker south India, 'higher' are still fairer than 'lower' castes.
Skin color discrimination is always there at every level.

You can't really bother with something you have no control over. You just have to let your work and brilliance be undeniable.
