We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

OP- Most inhouse teams would be open to your profile. I came with M&A transactions experience. If you have PE, VC experience as well, funds will be open to hiring. Iβm not sure what your PQE is but if itβs anything more than 4 years youβre in a decent position for most in-house reputed roles.
In-house you won't have the support structure and hierarchy of a law firm, you will be a cost centre and your hours won't be billable. Also, working in-house in a PE fund does not mean that you will be necessarily paid well or have work life balance.
In-house is not some promised land of a better life hours wise or monetarily (usually).
