However, IIUNER seems to be more like a research-based institution seeking international collaborations. Something like the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research or BARC. So from this perspective it is not really a threat to anyone in terms of placements. But there may be an exodus of faculty to here. Goa is also a much nicer place than some of the cities where certain law universities are.
In any case, what kind of a stupid discussion is this? What difference does it make to other NLUs if there is a IIULER? The IIULER is again proof that the Bar Council has no power to set up any university and can only request a state government to do so.

IIULER was constituted India International University of Legal Education and Research of the Bar Council of India Trust at Goa Act, 2021 (Goa Act 16 of 2021) - It is the only PRIVATE UNIVERSITY in the State of Goa.
