But yes, they are annoying af in terms of work toxicity, stubborn views on life and politics which usually don't have any basis in fact, but in how they were brought up.
it is hardly misogynistic given that it has three female leads of different personalities who follow different life paths and face different obstacles and come out ahead while empowering and supporting each other. there's only racism in the sense that there isn't enough representation of black people, but like it or not, that's actually the reality for white people of a certain social class- they do live in their own little world. there isn't really homophobia, imagine showing a lesbian wedding in season one- all those years ago, and showing how one of the main characters ross, struggles with his ex wife marrying a woman and then comes to terms with it and accepts them because it was the right thing to do. and the jokes chandler makes are funny because its his dad and his discomfort is palpable and humourous, not because they're making fun of the trans character. in fact, you get to seer chandler evolve into accepting his parents both of them for who they are. joey didn't harass anyone, women wanted to sleep with him, he just hooked up, I cannot remember an instance when he pursued someone who had told him no. In fact, in an early season its joey who is harassed when he's asked to sleep with a casting director for an acting job.
The friends writing room was not all men, it was remarkably progressive for its time. its no small thing to bring independent career women, sexually liberated women, gay people, even open marriages, alternative lifestyles, age gap couples, all into the main stream where they gained wide spread acceptance. and to do so while consistently delivering laughs.
young people need to get over their main character syndrome. not all progress has happened because of you or during your time. twitter outrage is not the same thing as actually doing something constructive and changing peoples minds. you stand on the shoulders of those who came before you and it is poor form to spit on them.
Also, you haven’t actually explained which bad boss things they’ve done. If cultural chauvinism is the worst thing about your boss, I will literally exchange lives with you right now
