We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.
Therefore, in using the site, you must agree to do your best to uphold these community guidelines.
Note that what you find here is written and moderated by anonymous people on the internet.
Therefore everything you read here is very likely unverified, rumour, speculation and/or downright false.
In continuing to read anything here, you must therefore agree not to take anything you read here as factual and that you will exercise due caution, diligence and common sense before acting on any information you may come across here.
You also agree to report any inaccurate or malicious comments with the buttons. Moderators take action within 24 hours, as required and appropriate under law.
Our full terms and conditions apply too.
Do you solemnly agree to all of the above?
I think this is an important topic because many people seem to be hyped up by the media based on their social capital and communication skills, but people who are media-shy and do things quietly are overlooked. This is reflected in how students perceive successful lawyers, going by LI comments. For example, look at Lawrence Liang's Infosys prize win, and comments on LI wrongly saying that he has invented copyleft and published in Harvard Law Review (his publication count is actually pretty low). Or the comments on LI hailing Gautam Bhatia (who I guess will make the Time 100 list next)
Excuse us the misery of having to read that
I just found ONE case (below). I repeated the search with "Vrinda". Tons of cases with Vrinda Grover appearing. However, Karuna Nundy's Twitter follower count is much much higher: 7,800 for Vrinda Grover versus 184,000 for Karuna Nundy.

Of course, IndianKanoon only accounts for indexed orders/judgements and correct spellings of the names.
You searched all of Indian Kanoon, including orders older than 2021 and HC orders. The search string you should have used is:
"Karuna Nundy" doctypes: supremecourt, scorders fromdate: 1-1-2021 todate: 31-12-2021
This still throws up 1 result.
Time 100 is another thing but. As is Forbes 30/30. Those lists are made by celebrities for lay people. Youβre never going to find many scholars or grassroots lawyering people on there.
Frankly speaking, it's just social media presence because I guess "the Times" researchers also do not want to delve deep and research. They just google and go ahead with whoever comes up, ig
