You got me in the first half, ngl

Some seniors are such horrid specimen of homo sapiens that you can't even be your own boss

Take the whole bleep of the money, wring your blood out of your body πŸ₯²
Because it allows people to really practise law. You would rather do soul-sucking due diligence for the rest of their lives?
Litigation is definitely overhyped, but NLU students (including you) are smart enough to understand what is good for them, so they choose what they choose. But yes, everyone is overhyped about litigation as if all of them will become Harish Salve, Palkiwala and Sorabjee,
Isn't that the same with every profession including working at a Law Firm....?
Cause anything that doesn't make sense economically, requires extra economic glorification
Litigation is an endurance test and people who are able to hold on their own in a litigation career have confidence of some other level, which can never be matched by a corporate lawyer who is battling with anxiety, depression and IBS most his life.
Litigation is more intellectual and at the top, it is fun and remunerative. So I guess, it’s a hope game. If you manage to climb the ladder - it’s great. If you fail, you suffer mediocrity through your life.
because litigators do not earn money initially, so they just try to hide that under the cover of their "working for yourself, be your own boss" model.
Practice areas like M&A, Competition law: Hold my beer.
Majja aata hai … senior ko bori bhar ke paise dene me aur fir usi se gaali sunne me. Aur court me band gown laga ke senior ke piche khare hone me to aur bhi khushi. Alag nasha hai bhai… full Manali cream.
Wow, laughed so bad that my stomach started aching. When everyone from NLUs to Private Law schools are running behind Tier I firms, despite being interested to litigate (including me). In which planet is Litigation overhyped?
