Band 2 - Sri Lanka, cheap SE Asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia etc), cheap ME (Dubai)
Band 3 - Expensive SE Asia (Singapore), expensive ME (Israel, Jordan), west Asia
Band 4 - Eastern Europe, Cheap North Asia (China, HK, Russia), most parts of Africa
Band 5 - Western Europe, USA, Canada, Expensive North Asia (Japan, Korea)
Band 6 - Australia, NZ, cruises
Band 7 - South America, Caribbean Islands, luxury cruises
Band 8 - South pole, Alaska, Greenland

Band 9 will be a future possibility. Many partners choose Band 7 and 8 destinations but would also travel to Band 6 destinations. SAs and PAs plan band 3 to band 5 destinations but would occasionally choose to go to band 6 destinations as well (compromising on accommodation). Most law firm associates go to band 2 to band 4 destinations quite easily; some going for band 5 as well.

2. Also, these bands are formulated based on standard 3 to 4 star accommodation and typical itineraries.
3. There will always be people who will back pack to expensive destinations on a relatively small budget. This analysis is not meant to include those people.
4. This analysis assumes you are paying for your own trip. If you come from a rich family, this analysis doesn't hold good.
When they get vacations and want to chill, they retreat to their holiday homes. These are palatial properties. Some have it in India (hills, beaches etc.), some have it abroad in Europe, Dubai etc.
