I couldn't make it to the questions outside CV, because I bombed it so bad.
PS: appeared for a few other firms after that, brushed my cv, reworded it to my strengths while sending them out and safe to say those interviews went great and have gotten an assessment
The interview was very technical as the firm does not have an HR team and the lawyers themselves look into recruitment and internships. There were two people who took my interview and both of them were very calm and understanding.
They grilled me based on the subjects I had previously studied and on the basis of the work I had done in my previous internships, be it research or drafting or due diligence. They were well-versed with a wide variety of laws and clearly wanted to know if I knew the basics or not.
The main topics you must cover and know on your tips are Contract Law, Sale of Goods Act, Company Law (Meetings, Related Party Transactions, and other basics), and lastly the basics of PE/VC like the stages of start-up funding, promoter's obligations, etc. The interview will be based on your CV entirely but it can get technical depending on how the direction goes.
