Sorry to hear that this was your experience. We've had almost everyone in the team getting bonus in the top percentile.

Also, yes, based on client feedback - clients have given thumping feedback for the work done/responsibility shouldered by A2s in our team on significant transactions, and that has been factored into bonus payments. In fact, some of them will also be receiving an additional managing partners discretionary bonus (MPB).

Nor do we expect our juniors to be yes-persons. We encourage them, in fact prefer them to question us and give alternate view points. Not only does this help in ensuring we aren't getting too comfortable / complacent with views, but also that's what training a junior involves making sure they learn how to think. We do work hard and we do enjoy discussing world and office politics, but haven't ever received a medal for the latter.

I am cognizant that this may not be the culture in all teams. But taking that you use 'kiddo' pejoratively, you must have a lot of experience behind you, and are possibly in a place to set the right culture. Its appraisal time.People with offers would have left fir other firms and lot many more will quit after taking the bonus.They will offer the moon and the stars,you cannot believe such statements.Have you seen that big press release of CAM from 2020 talking about 5 working models included with? Through the pandemic, CAM kept pushing for work from office and they said this is what the employees wanted,not true.So if you still want to believe that full bonus paid is fixed till A3 level,then it's beyond helping stage for you.

Think a little before putting up these posts.If they give you full bonus till A3, how will the promoters buy flats in worli?why do you not get the fact that their law firm is not for your salaries, it's for their profit?How will that profit get made if they give you full bonus till A3 levels?

Zero bonus.Why do you want bonus when you saved rent money?And because you posted this on LI,CAM will penalize and make you pay the saved rent money to them as penalty.Now pay up the penalty to CAM,come back to physical office and complete the works instead of posting on LI about bonus.

If your team meets its targets, mostly full. Only if your team falls short, does the partner have to apply his mind to who to allocate how much bonus to. Typically, if your partner is a fair and reasonable person, they would give due importance to your reliability for the team, level of responsibility you've handled at A3 level, client feedback on your work (said and unsaid, in terms of whether the client feels comfortable with you on small matters), feedback from your seniors in the team, feedback from other partners you've worked with, and of course, billables - doing well on some of these will probably make sure you get a full bonus, but doing not too well won't impact you so much - since you're only an A3 yet.

Actually,zero for you...ha ha ha.on a serious note I feel really bad for you and everyone who works at CAM,because if you have to ask this question at LI instead of your firm it means that you are too afraid to ask this at your firm and there is no conversation or transparency around pay.The irony,this is a law firm.
