We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

Any scope at all to make up for the seemingly lost year of experience?
Also, sam is expected to promote out of turn too at the sa/pa level same as last year
Have you ever seen law firms, kiddo?
If a person (or organization) understands business, they would surely promote a person avoiding the usual course.
This is just pure business acumen.
If this isn't done, then the party in power isn't aware what doing business mean.
Iβve heard of A1 to A3 jumps at CAM, and Iβve heard of PAs becoming Partner within a year in the same firm. But what youβve got to keep in mind is that a firm follows robust financial planning and the outlay on an associate going directly to SA instead of to A3 would be far greater than what is planned for. Not to mention the fact that such a move would create a precedent that the firm would not want to retain.
Good way is to start rattling of names of batchmates who are SAs in other teams / firms
