Yeah that makes absolute sense. As a student, I was not aware of the distinction. So, what would be the answer now? Any firm with litigation team who pays well and recruits regularly?
AQUILAW pays more than Argus then, and is growing as well.
There is a difference between litigating firms and firms with litigation teams. If you are unaware of the difference, then you are probably not familiar with the litigation sector.
Do they hire regularly? What's the attrition rate?

Khaitan and Argus have their offices in Calcutta, right? So are they involved in litigation? Also, is it possible to get in? And what is the pay?
Both KCO and Argus pay quite well. KCO pays 70k to junior associates and this gets bumped to upwards of a lakh when you make associate with huge bonuses. However, it may take time to make this shift.

Argus pays around 50 to freshers in the lit team.
None. No litigating firm in Kolkata pays associates more than 4 LPA. No senior pays more than 3 LPA, most pay less in fact.
Title and how to get into these firms?
Do they hire regularly?
Would doing a lot of internships help me get a PPO?
What's the pay?
