A recent trend noticed is that law interns are being asked by their senior / colleagues to appear before courts or tribunals and make submissions.. and here I thought only enrolled advocates can enter appearance! bar council(s) - are you listening and taking note??
That's nothing, I heard interns are being elevated to HC now
If your surname is a Chandrachud or Nariman - there is a good chance that it will even happen.
You are correct and not the only one who is aware of this. Judges, at times, are well aware of this, and sometimes encourage so that you learn the craft. Don't be a whiny ass.
hey.. that's very encouraging to know.. maybe you could point out cases where interns (read: law students yet to clear law school) were "encouraged" to argue and "learn the craft" - even before they graduated? could be of help :D
bhai konse court me practice kar rha hai jahan Judges interns ko encourage kar rhe hai to appear?
So the regulations can be violated. You're saying you're okay with that. Our country's legal profession is truely, and hopelessly, fucked.
So at least one part of the storyline in Suits was rooted in reality. Thank heavens!
Do advocates do it? Yes.

But, if caught, the intern will get belted in open court and let off after a warning but the senior who sent the intern will be in a lottt more trouble.
