I was in the same position as you but the only difference was I knew my preference (atleast according to which one should ideally choose his/her University)
This was:
- NLUJ
-GNLU
-NLIU
My classmate was in NLIU and my Childhood friend was in GNLU both a year higher than me, it would have been easier getting used to the law school life because of them, inspite of that I chose NLUJ reason being:
- No domicile Quota (The govt is now planning to introduce a 25% Quota but the Student body is trying very hard to fight this decision)
- Diverse student Body (Due to no domicile)
- Small Batch Size (120 students in NLUJ when compared to GNLUs almost 200 and NLIUs almost 160)
- Jodhpur sounded like a better place when compared to Gandhinagar and Bhopal. (Except the summers)
- Single Rooms from first year.
- Two streams BA and BBA to choose from, NLIU folks don't get a choice and GNLU folks have some sort of merit system to decide between BA, B.com, BBA, Bsc and BSW.
- My food and cultural practices were much more compatible to MP and Rajasthan when compared to Gujrat, also Gujrat being a dry state was a huge turn off.
- Generally CLAT coachings except Legal Edge recommend keeping NLUJ above GNLU and then NLIU.
- While I don't care for placements as I want to go into litigation all three of them were almost at par with each other, NLUJ had if I remember correctly had almost 100% placements last year.
Honestly just keep preparing for your exams and worry about these things later, you'll get the option to change your preference list a few days before the counselling starts.
