I am not a lawyer but an mba, I don't know about salaries but if you want to move to consulting or vc roles MBA might help. If you want to make a career change to marketing or finance again MBA might help but you should be ready for a paycut.
In terms of peer group, the MBA peer group is dominated by engineers, CAs, commerce graduates and in my two years of MBA from an IIM I didn't find any lawyer in the batch so it might be difficult from a placement perspective as recruiters typically tend to very conservative in terms of shortlisting and may not want to take chance with someone who is not typical profile of a usual cohort. As recruiters also have time pressure to select candidates on the days of placement they tend to go for candidates with similar background as their other existing employees so for consulting companies it would be engineers and CAs with excellent academic record etc
When tech is ruling the word, we as lawyers are earning peanuts and have to keep searching for better avenues. The tec sector in India is booming like never before. The salaries are being doubled and tripled. Add to the hike, the luxury of work from home and getting to take off for atleast seven full days in a month. Time we learnt some computer course and switched profession.
You are so aggressive and misguided. I pity anyone who considers leaving their country. You talk like a person who has never been abroad. It's good for a short vacation but please dont think about living there.

Do an MBA abroad and try to be the next Sundar Pichai, Indra Nooyi etc. Stay away from India. Our country is run by uneducated rulers and unaccountable dynasts who practice either crony capitalism or crony socialism and treat the educated middle class like crap.
If you cannot afford a US MBA, the cheapest advanced countries to do an MBA in are:
1. Germany 2. Norway 3. Iceland 4. Malaysia 5. Sweden
Anybody who is working with a tier 1 for 4-5 years, will get similar (if not lower) salary after MBA. That too at a cost of paying around 35 lakh as MBA fees. So, in terms of money it makes no sense to go for MBA from ISB or IIM (Executive).
However, is there any positive side to MBA? Any strong reason why a tier 1 lawyer with 5 years PQE should go for MBA? Please discuss.
