In India even the most right wing party - BJP is woker than Democrat Party of USA.
BJP is Socialism + Cow/Hindutva. Congress = Socialism + Muslim/Christian Appeasement.
Both Congress and BJP are anti business, Anti Free Markets and equally support Oligopolistic Businesses (Adani & Ambani)
BJP supports reservations based on Caste, Gender etc. Congress also does the same.
Republican Party (US) will laugh if any of these criteria done by BJP or Congress is done.
Even Democrats in the US are not as woke as any of Indian Political Parties.
Even in California (wokest state in US) Businesses have more freedoms and reservations based on Race and Gender doesn't exist.
Politicians (AOC & Jamal Bowman) will tweet #BLM. But nobody has the guts to bat for reservations.
This is a because - in India those who have reservation are the majority (80%) - OBC, SC/ST, Women, Religious Minorities, Poor & Farmers etc. So any kind of wokeism to attract these voters are the norm than exception.
America has a huge Middle Class and white people comprise about 70% of the population. So even democrats don't trash talk about white people.
So wokeism is the norm in India. It's incomparable with the US.
Making CSR mandatory, increasing PF contributions, the recent 4-day workweek labour code, IBC, focus on public transport (metro, RRTS etc.) are not exactly a libertarian utopia one might say.
Err...the 4 day workweek has not brought down the number of hours to be put in a week. Public transport? They are increasing train fare and increasing cess on petrol that is making the public transport system all across the country choke. Making CSR mandatory has not shown any improvement in the concerned sectors yet, as all studies have shown till date. At least read what you are saying.
