Can we have a special area for this R?

Because it seems this platform is mostly used by corporate and high court lawyers. An anonymous space like this will be very useful for aspiring lower court lawyers without family background.
Real work to do, clients to look after, less time for bitching about colleagues, it all adds up.
1. Litigation prospects depends upon the state you work in. If your state is economically sound = more litigation volume = more money in longer term. Tier 2/3 cities has low cost of living so always keep that in mind (you'll not mint money as people do in Delhi /mumbai)

2. Always start with trial court even if it doesn't pays you well, it's the investment you are making in your profession not the otherway around.

3. If you are jumping into litigation as first gen then please keep in the financial situation shorted atleast for first 3 years (job, parents whatever). Communicate the same with your parents/partner too.

4. Stay professional in courts, don't play games, what's app yada yada as you are under constant watch of bar & bench, specially if they know you are from "Nlu" (That tag as pros and cons).

5. Please know the case throughly, you never know when you'll get your chance to argue for the first time and that can be your chance to take off.

6. Don't join the senior counsel in the first place, learn the art and then get attached.

7. Its a small community, maintain good relations with lawyers irrespective of skills, if they can't make you but can ensure you downfall.

8. Be in court irrespective you have a matter or not.
Btw why are Litigators extremely deferential to their paying clients to the point of kissing ass ? Why are there elements of the hospitality sector culture in this ? By default people call their clients "sir" or "madam" unless insisted otherwise. One has to shave everyday (as a guy), wear good quality suits (tailored if you have a paunch) and shoes must be polished every day. Why all the appearances ?
1. Kyuki paisa bolta hai, client feels he is in safe hands and we are satisfied with monetary part.

2. These are professional conventions + grooming makes you more presentable & active, even a well maintained breaded isn't frowned upon these days.
