Move aside Emmys, Grammys and EGOT-aspirants. Indian lawyer awards season is upon us and it is a litany of paid nonsense fooling nobody but first year law students into thinking the top 100 lawyers in India did anything other than due diligence readouts and that โ€œlegal influencersโ€ are a real thing.

To educate and inform, please use this thread to expose how much each award costs. The next time you see a beaming partner bestowed with endless platitudes on LinkedIn, you will know exactly how much they paid to call themselves a fantastic lawyer.

Iโ€™ll kick off.

Forbes Powerlist: Top 100 lawyers (15-20k per category); Top 25 AoR (20-30k); Top 50 Managing Partners (40-50k); and Top 50 Law Firms (40-50k).

BW Legal World: 15k per nomination
This was around 3 years back. I was practicing trade law and was approached by someone to have myself nominated for best upcoming lawyer in IP law. I have NEVER practiced IP law in my whole career. So you can imagine how bogus all of this is.
