Started around a year ago by then ELP Partners, it looks like the firm has a decent transactions and corporate litigation practice.
If anyone here has worked at the firm, or with the founders before, can you please share what working for them was like? Mainly trying to understand how the nature and quality of work, work culture and work-life balance is. Also, if anyone can give a ballpark figure of their A1 retainer, that would be great.
Great experience! Working with them will change your approach to transactions. I would say set aside pay expectations for a few years to work with them. The money will follow eventually.
The work culture seemed relatively relaxed, when compared to other tier 2/boutique disputes firms. Few calls on weekends. Seniors try to appear nicer and all too.
But obviously, this could simply be because they don't have enough work for interns. Plus, from what conversations with A0 hinted, the pay scales weren't comparable to ELP etc.
They have mostly M&A and Startup investment work. As an associate, you will have to work long hours. Pay is extremely poor. Work-life balance- Poor Culture- No toxicity. Very helpful seniors. You will get to learn a lot. Food- They provide evening snacks for free to everyone, ranging from pizza to samosas and all kinds.
