Working hours? Hard to say. You have more control over your time but very limited scope to switch off completely - you are basically on the hook throughout the life of your matter.
Work-Life balance? Nothing much changes here from being an associate. Work life balance is what you make of it.
Prestige/Respect? No free rides here. But there is an assumption that you know what you are talking about given you are a T1 partner. But this can be eroded easily and you need to build this. With the position comes increased scrutiny. Not much room for fools to hide.
Travelling and vacations? See above. You can't be unavailable for extended periods. It depends on what you want to make of your position - if you want to drive hard, you'll find yourself taking less vacations. But there is little stopping you from doing so.
