No one looks at your skills while giving you an internship. Its literally about your ability to demonstrate potential.
You will find that you will may be able to name 2-3 people at best. Less than 1-2% of former students and often the 1-2% who don't get jobs is due to other issues in their life (mostly stuff like mental health / substance abuse issues, in my experience)
So, why worry when it's a statistical aberration to not have a job 3-6 months after college? I had this mentality during my last year and chilled like a boss. Got a probationary internship towards the end of the final year which turned into a job - and while working I nursed a solid college hangover for years.
A lot of (non-clinical) anxiety can be reduced / addressed by re-framing issues.

Hey, I'm a 4th-year law student from a T-1 NLU. For the past few months, I have been trying to get a law firm internship, but nothing has worked out; I got a few boutique dispute resolution firms, and the experience was pretty good, I got decent drafting and research assignments; however, when I see most of my batchmates getting tier-1/2 interns easily (either through placement cell or contacts), and I am struggling to get the same, I cannot help but feel low. I have decent grades in the top 30 of my batch. I have tried both contacts and placement cell; however, things have not worked out.
Moreover, something laughable happened today, a friend of mine and I had applied for an internship in a firm, we had to submit our application vis-a-vis the portal provided by the firm, his application got submitted without any work ex and other activities, whereas, I completed my application, submitted it on time; however, he was the one who got accepted and well things did not work out for me again, I understand it was due to difference in practice areas preferred but like he did not even have a complete application. How the hell am I supposed to react to this? I laugh one moment and feel like crying the other.
As day zero is coming up, I am getting more and more paranoid. I feel like I won't be placed and won't achieve anything. I feel lost and confused. My confidence is crushed, I'm mentally exhausted, and I want to give up, but I just can't, which scares me as things have not been going my way.
