Don’t bow your head down to frustrated associates especially if you are from a tier-1. Always do the hardwork and call out toxic associates who keep on blackmailing or threatening like people are doing here

When assigned work, obtain as much clarity as you can. 3. If you need to clarify certain things in your final work product, go ahead and leave comments. 4. Take initiative - if you can, see if you can write an article or the like. 5. If your internship requires you to make a presentation, pick a fantastic topic and make it well-analyzed.
In sum, show enthusiasm, make it clear that you’re always happy to assist, keep making changes if you’re asked to - leave a mark :)
Sincerity and hard work are the most important imo. Generally partners don't expect interns to really have answers to complex legal questions but they would like them to be dependable in doing the task assigned to them.
That said, do read up on the basics of your assigned practice area (and general things like contract law) - it'll help you understand research issues better. Raising valid questions, thinking critically and showing genuine interest will set you further apart.

Don't ask stupid questions every hour - Associates are busier than you.
