But here the Partner called me in from his Chambers (even as my reporting SA was there) and told me to roll down my sleeves. While there was nothing harsh about it I just found it uncomfrtable that the Partner felt it necessary to tick me off directly without asking my SA to tell me. I found it demeaning that the Partner would tick off an Intern directly. Also is it standard SOP across Law Firms that shirt sleeves aren't to be rolled up ? (sorry no one told me this and I am from a first-generation Learner family).
Just try to roll them up in neat folds. Shabby folds look horrible and unkempt.
The Partner and SA are just annoying. Don't let this bother you, you did nothing wrong.

When I first started working the boss would often chide me about all the junk food I had stored away in my desk. I just laughed it off and teased him about always eating healthy. Eventually it led to a friendship and down the road most senior people in the office would stop by the desk if they felt peckish. Being the office store was good for me cause I’d get more face time with all the seniors and I got staffed on better projects as a result( well that and I worked insanely hard). I could’ve gotten offended at the first instance, and that would’ve made things uncomfortable when they didn’t need to be, and that would’ve only gotten in the way of me having a fulfilling work life. You don’t have to be offended at everything.

Clearly OP was in compliance with the overall attire required to be worn in a law firm set-up, he/she just wanted to be comfortable while contributing to the work of a law firm that probably isn't even paying him/her. This was simply unnecessary.
What sort of shirt were you wearing - a normal white shirt or a yellow / pink shirt? How were you dressed overall? Were your hair neatly kempt?
Have you appeared presentable around the partner before - in your previous internship?
These questions could help you finding out why the partner asked you to roll down your sleeves.
If the partner knows that this is your assessment internship, its actually a positive sign as the partner has taken personal interest in grooming you. This could also be a ice breaker.
