Cold email works. Got Trilegal through that - though you need to sit for interviews.

Tried this with two of the world's largest companies - they are in the pipeline (asked for my resume).

Hit the right people + luck!
Could you give some insight into what kind of companies these were?
Could you give some tips on what exactly the content of the email should be, particularly when we are seeking internship or any other work opportunity?
Got an internship in one of the Top Tier firms by asking the HR reason for rejection and feedback on my application.
Wow. Hard to find such Nice HRs. Most of them are mindless entities. Which firm was this btw?
Don't write Dear Sir / Madam.. if you are cold emailing, ensure you know who that email is getting to. Not joking, but get a lot of cold emails saying above... needless to say, do not bother reading content

Could you please share some tips as to how one should draft the cover letter then? Is writing first name okay?
+1

DO NOT send the boilerplate email en masse. You will end up in spam. Research and make you've some idea who you're addressing, and customise your cold email.
