Some colleges are sent call for interns. However, applying to HR directly has very slim chances of working out. Intern CVs are actually scanned for relevant work experience and are assigned a team most suited to their work experience.
So, I'd recommend you to just improve your knowledge of the areas you want to gain more experience in, target smaller firms which can give you the appropriate experience.
Keep your grades really high, that's the sole criteria for selecting interns through College RCCs (corruption too if student-run). Direct applications can also be summarily rejected if grades are less than stellar.
Moots, publications, essay competitions are a great help in interviews, not sure if HR even considers that. So, in a nutshell, maintain your GPAs and collect work experience. That's how you get into AZB; Mumbai that is, Noida is mostly just connections (why would you even want that?).
Internships are given basis the scores, batch rank, work done in previous internships, moots, etc. Not by bribing anyone, it is simple to get an internship there if you match all these criteria. Let's not focus on spreading unnecessary things to young law aspirants.
I would seriously discourage anyone from interning there, especially the Mumbai offices. The work culture is toxic, and no one really cares how hard or well you work during the internship. Look into other opportunities!
