How did long working hours and burnouts affect your personal life -

Sex life, Intimacy in relationships/Marriage etc. Did it get to the point of forcing you to constant fights, affairs, breakup or divorce. How do you manage/change the same?
My ex wife and I seperated AFTER I left the firm, was pushing me to continue to slog so I could support her excesses. Still paying maintenance but I'm much happier now.
All aboard the consumerist wagon for a lifetime of misery
Why pay for OTT? Just torrent that stuff for free.
Why is this trollish, Kian? It is not sexist to say that a woman who forces a man to slog in an unhappy law firm job and earn money for her is a horrible person.
seems like india should have Pre-marriage
contracts doh
The person who disliked comment 1.3 - who hurt you bro?
Wait, you guys are getting intimacy and relationships?
I am an A3 and looking to get married. I seriously wonder how will I manage after marriage?! On an average, I leave my office around 11 PM. Reach home by 12. This is such a great set up for divorce!
Agree with most except 1. Work not always should be 1, your family needs you and your workplace should support you then. Also, the dynamics change once you have kids.
This is so realistic and practical. Just do not understand the reason for the dislikes. Anyone can explain?
Aunty dil nikal dabbe mai hi de deta hu aapko. Kuch fayda to hai nahi - sab disallowed
This comment needs to be starred. Also true of professions other than law. One additional point - it helps if both spouses have similar workload/working hours. Otherwise the one with more free time will feel bored/neglected.
Not sure if this is a problem for partners or NLU grads. Law school usually teaches one to balance work and life
Arre bhai, har cheez mein NLU superiority kaise portray kar lete ho?

As an NLU grad as well, I disown this person and their comment. Next thing you know, people will claim that NLU people are better suited for the Olympics because they are well trained in the rat race.
Hate it. Guy I'm crushing on works in the same office as me, different team and yet we can barely meet once a week and so it's going nowhere. Pity because he's super cute we're clearly into each other.
Adding on.... would love to hear from women who have been married, have kids and are still managing their law firm career.
Thank you for responding. How do you deal with the guilt?
Very tough frankly. But if you love what you do and have good people around you,it gets easier. You need substitutes for you, better if its your parents, you feel less guilty. When you get time, make the most of it.
Show me where the question has mentioned the word 'father'?
Wait a second, you guys have gonads that aren't decorative appendages at this point?
You should also put in the same efforts he/she is putting in.
What about T1 corp lawyers in relationships w academics? How do those tend to pan out?

Is it possible to be a nice person after making partner (not trolling)?
Would also love to know this as an academic myself.
How do you date or get in a relationship with these hours? I am looking to settle down and don’t see that happening for myself if things continue the way they are.
It's always better to have 2 people working insane hours as chances of conflicts are less. The less time you spend with your So, the less chance of a breakup or divorce.
Arey Agar mil hi nahi rahe ho to fir shaadi kyun ki? Social acceptance?
Social acceptance, companionship, fallback. When you fall sick who will take care of you (and vice versa)? Best arrangement is same office but different teams.
