No use. More GLC grads land a job than Jindal 3-year LLB people. Why waste all that money? It doesn't give you any advantage during litigation either, unless you are counting on batchmate's parents throwing you some business.
1- No, the legal community is not partial. As an integrated law grad myself, I believe three year law grads are more mature when they graduate out of law. Law firms do not discriminate as well. I know many DU-CLC and SLS- 3 year grads working at T1s. 2- The degree might give you an edge in understanding a lot of business that goes in wrt commercial law matters, but legally it won't be of much use. 3- In no order of preference: DU-CLC, SLS-Pune and JGLS.
I am currently a final year MA Economics student at a state university, but considering the opportunities available after completing it i am looking for different career options and based on my knowledge law seems to be a double degree option for me.
But i have certain questions regarding 3 year llb in general which i am pretty sure LI community would be able to help me out. First, i know integrated law seems to be the norm these days among law aspirants but i am not sure whether legal community itself have different criteria or are being partial towards a particular degree. Second, i am not sure whether my economics/commerce knowledge be of any help to me towards any sort of progression in legal field or i have to start for a fresh slate in terms of skills set required in legal profession. Third, What law schools should i target, and should i get admission to a law school in my city(jaipur) itself, as it seems that a city plays a major role but in contrast nlu's seems to be in pretty remote places.
And please do suggest me a few good law schools for 3 year llb program.
