I'm glad I did History, PolSci and Socio. Whatever one may say about Lizzy or "the other two", they taught me how to think critically, question things, and never take received wisdom for granted.
You can't replace that with random courses on "legal writing" or a course on "business", whatever that means.
The other problem with your post is the assumption that law schools are a finishing school for Big Law and other agents of capitalism (I am also one, no judgments there). If that is how you think, I feel sorry for you.
What's interesting is that it's not even that huge a money. It's at par or slightly above what graduates from most decent colleges make. And yet we're so ready to sacrifice our lives, personalities, interests, passions and art at the altar of this ____.

- Replace 2 family law courses with 1 course. If a UCC comes into effect that will have to be done.
- Replace 2 labour law courses with 1 course, or just abolish it outright.
- Scrap jurisprudence entirely. Zero use in real life.
- With the free slots, add courses on drafting and writing.
