Under-reporting, lack of testing, and administrative interference in medical policy making. In every Indian state where the number is less, these are the reasons. Including Gujarat. There was a period during which people couldn't get tests done at home simply because the pharma organizations had received a directive not to do it. Imagine that!
No secret here. It's the fact that a vast majority was infected with covid during the second wave and the ones who recovered have antibodies now, resulting in some sort of herd immunity. Same as UP.
Gujarat was one of the worst covid affected states in month of March-May. However, since August the number of cases per day has stayed below 20 in entire Gujarat, with most districts recording 0 cases for over a month now. It did not impose any lockdown, however, has managed Covid excellently. What is the success story behind Gujarat's Covid model?
