15 years ago, when the other side (non lawyer) proposed a shady legal opinion to back the claim why the model works, my partner, with a beaming smile:

"You know what they say about opinions right? It's like an asshole - everybody has one"
Getting an opinion from your firm is like walking in high heels. Both look good but offer little comfort.
SHA negotiations a couple of years ago:

Target's Promoter - refusing to dilute equity for future investments by the investor (millions each time). "It's my company, I started it, I deserve max equity"

Investor's GC with 0 chill - "Your equity will be worth as much as your opinion if you don't get funding"

Promoter was triggered for sometime before giving in.
Client says : "boss has given instruction that the deal needs to close before Shravan starts"
Partner looks at us : "Our shravan starts now"
