Buy a decent laptop, a cooling pad, speakers, a HDMI cable and a big ass monitor. Enjoy work/play to the optimum. More play because you are in college. Monitors are very affordable these days and the value add they give makes them worth it.
Just don't buy anything without an IPS ANTI-GLARE DISPLAY.
Purchased Lenovo IdeaPad i3, 11th gen, 8gb ram and 512 ssd few days back. Got it for 47k with extended warranty. Running smoothly till now

Contrary to what I have heard on LI, I have got many suggestions for MI notebook and a certain model of Lenovo. Why is no one outside LI suggesting Asus Vivobook
And WHAT do you use to actually do work? Assuming you get paid to do work.
HP 14s series, cost me 41k two years ago. Works like magic and is pretty lightweight as well.
Asus Vivobook something something.

But other than that, assuming you're working. I'd recommend i5 or an equivalent AMD Chip. AMD is better and cheaper imo.

Next RAM min of 8GB should be fine.
Looking forward to get a work laptop around 40 k. Please suggest the best ones. Solely on the basis of performance.
